Knowledge Base: How to sync your campaign leads with Campaign Monitor?
This tutorial teaches you in 6 easy steps how to sync your Wildfire campaign leads with the email marketing software Campaign Monitor. One of the main benefits of syncing your leads with Campaign Monitor is that you don't need to manually export your Wildfire leads and import them into your newsletter software. The sync feature does that for you automatically!
IMPORTANT: You don't need to be a technical
person to follow this tutorial. Anyone with basic computer
knowledge can sync campaign leads with Campaign Monitor.
Step 1: Create a Campaign Monitor Account
If you haven't already done so, create a FREE Campaign Monitor account.
It's quick and easy. Just click on the Sign Up button at
the top right and follow the steps to create your account.

Step 2: Create a Subscribers List
Once you created your Campaign Monitor account click on
the Manage Subscribers tab. Click the Create a new
list button and follow the steps to build a new
Subscribers List. IMPORTANT: When you
create your list make sure you select single opt-in
(confirmation required) as List Type otherwise the
sync won't work!

Step 3: Generate Your Campaign Monitor API Key
In your Campaign
Monitor account go to the Account Settings tab. On the
right click on the Generate your API key link.

Then click the Generate my API Key button.

Your API key will appear at the bottom of the table.
IMPORTANT: Copy your API Key onto a sheet of paper
because you'll need this later.

Step 4: Get your API Subscriber List ID
In your Campaign Monitor account go to the Manage
Subscribers tab and click on the subscribers list you want to
sync.

Click on Edit list name/type on the subscribe list
details page.

Your unique API Subscriber List ID is listed on the
subscriber list edit page. IMPORTANT: Copy this
API Subscriber List ID onto a sheet of paper because
you'll need this later.

Step 5: Connect Your Wildfire Account with your Campaign Monitor Account
Log into your Wildfire
Campaign Builder account and click on the Manage
Branding tab. Click on the Campaign Sponsors subtab.
Click on the edit link of the relevant campaign sponsor. In the
Connections tab input you Campaign Monitor API
Key.

Step 6: Connect your Wildfire Campaign to your Campaign Monitor API Subscriber List ID
In your Wildfire account click on the Manage Campaigns
tab. Click on the Submissions link of the campaign you
want to sync with Campaign Monitor. Click on the Export
Data link at the top right.

Enter your Campaign Monitor API Subscriber List ID in the Sync
Data with Campaign Monitor-section and click
Activate.

Once you've activated the syncing all existing and also all new
entries get automatically synced with your Campaign Monitor
Subscriber List.
