Adding a promotion to Twitter is straight forward, and a great way to reach out to your Twitter social sphere, further advertising your promotion and capitalizing on another social media audience. The sweepstakes application is currently the only Wildfire campaign type that supports full Twitter integration, provided it does not feature a "like" button in the entry form. If your sweepstakes does feature a "like" button in the entry form, duplicate the campaign in your promotion builder, and remove the "like" button from said duplicate. Publish the original campaign to your Facebook channel and the new, modified, campaign to your Twitter channel. Ask a Wildfire representative to credit your account for the second promotion so that you might publish without being prompted to pay twice. This caveat is essential, because "like" buttons are not supported by Twitter's architecture, and the promotion will not render correctly if features a "like" button.
To publish your promotion to Twitter, follow these easy steps:
While Twitter integration is only available with the sweepstakes app, you can still promote your campaign on Twitter by copying and pasting the promotion URL and tweeting it out to your followers. To find the specific URL for your promotion click on “publish now” next to whichever channel you want to publish to and the URL will automatically appear.
