Sandboxing is a way for you to preview how your campaign will look when published live, without actually publishing it to the public. With a White Label Application, you can sandbox to preview the look of your campaign; the campaign will only be viewable to those who have administrative access to your Fan Page.
To enable sandboxing, go to your White Label Application on the Facebook Developers page as you did in Chapter 2 when you created your White Label Application. Click on Application Settings and choose Advanced.

In the line titled Sandbox Mode, click “Enable” to enable Sandboxing. Then click Save Changes at the bottom. In the “About” tab of your application you will be able to add developers under “Manage Users”. Only those who you add as Administrators, Testers, and Developers will be able to view the application in Sandbox mode. Note that you have to be friends on Facebook with the people you add as administrators or developers to your application.
When you publish your campaign, only people who are administrators and developers will be able to see it on Facebook. Everyone else will see your Fan Page with all the other content except the campaign and campaign tab. Remember, you must have a White Label Application for this to work—you can only make the White Label Application invisible to the public.
Note: This will only Sandbox the Facebook portion of your campaign. If your campaign drives off to a microsite, that portion will technically be live. Only pages housed on Facebook will have the limited viewing ability.
Before publishing your campaign, please ensure that your promotion adheres to Facebook Guidelines: Facebook Policy Checklist.
