In the Rules tab, input the Official Rules setting forth the timeline, eligibility, prizes, and directions on how to enter, general conditions, limitations of liability, and what happens in the event of a dispute. This is also the step in which you add your Privacy Policy (mandatory) and Disclosure Statement.

Official Rules and Privacy Policy—You have two options when it comes to entering your Official Rules and Privacy Policy:

  1. Enter as text. Once a participant clicks on the Official Rules or Privacy Policy on a live promotion, the entire text will be viewable. Please refer to the Text Formatting Guide for tips on how to customize the text of your Official Rules, Privacy Policy, and Disclosure Statement.
  2. Provide a link to your Privacy Policy and/or Official Rules. This is a favorable option if you already have a Privacy Policy and/or Official Rules written and set up on your website.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you place your privacy policy URL in the “About” tab of your White Label Application on Facebook, as well as in the Rules tab when building your campaign. If you do not include this URL, Facebook can disable your application without warning.

To ensure that your promotion adheres to Facebook Guidelines, please refer to: Facebook Policy Checklist

Disclosure Statement— The Disclosure Statement provides information about how information you collect from users will be used.

Where does the disclosure statement show up in my promotion?

  • At the bottom of every promotion run through Wildfire, you will find a Facebook disclaimer as follows: “This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to Wildfire Interactive and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for….” This disclaimer is a Facebook promotion requirement and cannot be customized.
  • The disclosure statement that is created in the rules section of your Wildfire Campaign Builder account attaches to this default Facebook disclaimer. You can edit this statement by typing into the Disclosure Statement field.
